BEACONFRIDAY LETTERS · NO. 02

November 6, 2026 · Issue 02 preview

Where the
light begins.

A new address. A small beginning.
Eight pathways growing together.

A note from Christa

We’re making a home for hope.

Dear friends,

This week, Beacon took a small but meaningful step: we have our own address, BeaconAndHope.org. There is something beautiful about seeing an idea become a place you can invite someone into.

Last week’s first letter was about belonging. This week is about beginning. We don’t have to wait until every piece is finished to offer encouragement, share a useful resource, or welcome someone who needs a little company.

Come find some comfort at Beacon. Stay for a little while, or stay for a long time. There’s a safe harbor for you and your family. Just bring it to the light.

This week’s light · Our connected vision

One welcome. Many ways forward.

Beacon connects the things that help us live, learn, discover, rest, and give. Faith in Motion brings stories. LEAF Legal offers legal education. Forward Health makes room for lived experience. ARISE explores the places we shape and the places that shape us.

Wayfinder invites discovery. Beacon Concierge is developing connections to local services and experiences. Nice is our growing vision for kindness in action. Lighthouse Retreats holds a future hope for places of rest and restoration.

You may come for one pathway and find another that speaks to you. Some resources are ready to explore; others are still taking shape. Each can grow at its own pace while remaining part of the same welcome.

Turn Up the Light.

Front and back of the proposed slate-blue Beacon sleeveless V-neck shirt with lighthouse artwork
Concept mockup · Not yet for sale. Fabric, fit, and printing still need physical sample testing.

Our first apparel idea carries the words “Turn Up the Light” on the front, with “Follow the Light. Be the Light. Spread the Light.” on the back. I love the thought of wearing a message that could encourage someone else.

Comfort matters, too. We’re looking for a soft, breathable sleeveless V-neck with broad shoulder coverage and room to move comfortably through the abdomen. The next step is finding and testing real samples before making promises about the finished shirt.

We’re exploring print-on-demand so shirts could be made as they’re ordered, along with a small supply to share in person. For now, this is an invitation to see what we’re imagining.

Take this into your week

Leave one little light.

Choose one manageable act of kindness. Send a thoughtful message. Share a resource someone asked for. Listen without rushing to fix. Offer a skill, or thank someone whose quiet work helped you.

If your energy is limited, let the act be small. Receiving care and making room for rest belong in this community, too.

Ask yourself: What could I do with the time, strength, or kindness I have today? You don’t need to post it or prove it. Let the care itself be enough.

Around the lighthouse

Find a doorway that fits your day.

An anchor for the week

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16 · King James Version

I hope Beacon becomes a place where faith finds expression in ordinary care: a listening ear, a useful connection, a story that helps someone feel less alone.

Help shape what comes next.

What would you like to find here—a story, a travel discovery, a practical resource, a creative collaboration, or a way to help? Your questions can help us understand where to put our next bit of energy.

Share an idea with Christa

Thank you for being here while Beacon grows.

God bless,
Christa
